Field Trip to Shengri La(tm) Spirit located in Science Sim, as part of our book announcement about the book of the same name. Please plan to use the MJM Lab Hippo viewer if you plan to join us; the LL Second Life viewer isn't up to the task. Shengri La Spirit is the 41K+ prim build created in conjunction with our IBM collaboration in 2007-2008. IT helped drive the state of the art for the OpenSim code base and helped wring out many of the issues the code was experiencing.

To reach Shengri La Spirit, create a user account on the Science Sim grid and pull up Shengri La in the world map. We have 9 Shengri La Spirit regions, land on any of them to cross into Shengri La Spirit. Hardware and hosting for Shengri La Spirit is being provided by the Intel Corporation as part of our year-long research collaboration.
